ERROR




Errors and mistakes come in all shapes and sizes.

Errors are mistakes and mistakes are errors.

Some errors are irreversible.



An error occurs when:

Every    (Each or all possible)

Reasonable    (Make sense or rational)

Response     (Reaction, verbal or physical)

Opposes    (Goes against)

Right    (Not wrong, unmistaken)

** examples: (1.) Dr. Jacks responded to Mr. Samms' complaint about pain in his feet. Dr. Jacks decided to operate and remove Mr. Samms' right foot. (an error occurred). Dr. Jacks misdiagnosed Mr. Samms. Mr. Samms was only suffering from muscle spasms. Dr. Jacks' reasonable response opposed right.  (2.) Danny was working on his spread sheet in the computer lab on 24 Oct 1997. He tried to type in a logical function (if). After Danny typed in the last line of his function, (an error occurred). Danny had typed in the wrong cell number. Danny's reasonable response opposed right. (3.) Manny Reems was convicted in the Fifth Division Circuit Court on 21 Mar 1992. The Jury decided to give him the death penalty for capital murder. . .Manny, after being in Jersey State Prison for 4 years, was executed by lethal injection. (an error occurred). Manny had been falsely accused, (mistaken identity). The jury thought it had all proof, without reasonable doubt. The jury's reasonable response opposed right.


What is an error?

According to the dictionary, a mistake, the condition of being wrong in conduct or judgment, a wrong opinion or judgment, the amount by which something is incorrect or inaccurate in a calculation or measurement.


What is a mistake?

According to the dictionary, an incorrect idea or opinion, a thing incorrectly done or thought, an error of judgment, choose wrongly, accidentally; inerror, misconception, misapprehension, miscalculation, misjudgment; error, misinterpret.


The world is full of people who commit errors and mistakes. It's unavoidable; we are all human and we all make mistakes and commit errors. . .this new definition was created by: Milous Temple Jr. on 22 October 1997.

An error occurs When: Every ReasonableResponse Opposes Right. . .
